My identity has always been a source of profound contemplation: "Who am I?" This fundamental question fuels my fascination with individuals vastly different from myself. Rather than causing unease, their unique perspectives intrigue and inspire me, prompting new inquiries into the essence of what it means to be human. This is why I am passionate about developing visual essays with diverse groups of genuine people. Through these projects, I seek to understand their origins and motivations, their relationship with power, and how they transform the territories they inhabit.
Personally, I've navigated a challenging path in finding my own place, grappling with where I belonged, what my community was, and ultimately, my own identity. In a way, understanding others became essential to solving my own enigma. I only fully realized this in retrospect, observing the consistent thread of self-discovery woven into every new project I initiated independently.
Whether I see myself reflected in others, or if others simply serve as a powerful reminder of my own existence, the encounter itself is invaluable.
