¿Puedo cerrar la ventana? Selfpublished photobook
Can I close the window? is an intimate story, built with photographs and texts of two people who were a couple for 5 years and who never saw each other again. She is Mexican writer; he is a photographer from Barcelona, photographer.
The texts, written for another purpose and in another context, interact with the images, giving rise to hidden and new meanings, proposing a fictional story based on real events. Home, absence, love-heartbreak and grief weave this story of a key period in the photographer's life.
As an epilogue, some notes from the author's diary, during his depression after the breakup of the relationship, contextualize this story. Most of the photographs were taken in Mexico between 2008 and 2013, the rest in different places during the author's crisis.
