In the silence of the night there is a time suspended between the bustle of tomorrow and the turmoil of yesterday. There is no business now. It's midnight. We rest.
Stands, umbrellas, carts, boxes and tables, large bags and sheets of asbestos under the ambient light of the night in an African city. A scenario that often goes unnoticed among the colours and the people who inhabit it during the day.
African markets are energetic and colourful. I also photographed them almost 20 years ago. Now, these quiet markets are ready to start a new day.
